Introduction to Atmospheric Vent Silencers
Atmospheric vent silencers (or steam vent silencers) are designed to meet noise reduction requirements for various boiler steam releases, safety valve discharges, and boiler fan exhausts. They can also be used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, and textiles for steam or other gas emissions, ensuring compliance with industrial noise standards. Key features include:

I. Purpose & Product Features
Atmospheric vent silencers are primarily used in power, chemical, and metallurgical industries to effectively reduce noise from safety valves, PCV valves, and steam vent valves under high-temperature, high-pressure conditions.
For boiler safety valves and vent valves, the silencer acts as an integrated pipeline component. Through internal acoustic treatment, it reduces noise generation and transmission, achieving 20-30 dB noise reduction (over 60% loudness reduction).
Design considerations include:
Noise reduction must comply with "Industrial Enterprise Noise Health Standards."
The silencer must be rust-proof, clog-resistant, and withstand high temperature, pressure, and airflow.
The discharge capacity and blocking ratio must allow smooth exhaust flow.
II. Working Principle
The atmospheric vent silencer operates on a perforated jet-resistance principle, replacing micro-perforated plates with large-hole expansion flow control. This ensures smooth exhaust flow while incorporating multi-layer perforated sound absorption and impedance silencing.
Steam sound waves enter micro-perforated sound-absorbing materials, where friction and viscous forces convert sound energy into heat, achieving noise reduction without hindering steam discharge.

When ordering, provide the following details:
Exhaust parameters: Flow rate (T/h), popping pressure, temperature.
Exhaust pipe specifications: Outer diameter, wall thickness.
Structural options:
Micro-perforated type or jet-resistance composite type (recommended for better noise reduction).
Material: Internal – stainless steel; shell – carbon steel.
Connection: Welded or flanged.
Mounting: Leg-type or lug-type supports.
